THANK YOU FOR BEING HERE! A BIT ABOUT ME...
Hi there!
My name is Nicolette Smith (she/they), and I am a New York based performer, choreographer, and songwriter. I am currently pursuing a BFA in Musical Theatre at Syracuse University (Class of '25). Something I am incredibly passionate about is working on projects that push the scope of what theater can be. Pieces that challenge audiences to look at themselves and the world around them in a way that causes reflection and/or cognitive dissonance; works that allow people to slow down and see life for the poetry, emotion, connectivity, community, beauty, and "gray area." I am interested in how elevated language, music, and movement can transcend everyday conversation, and most importantly, how these elements can drive social equity, representation, and progressive change, not only in creative spaces but in all spaces of existing.
